At our 15 week appointment, I commented to my doctor that I didn't really feel like I was showing all that much. Ironically enough, that all started to change the following week, as you can see from the picture above. This was taken last weekend, when I was 16.1 weeks along. There are still days when I feel like the bump isn't really that noticeable, but it really depends on what I'm wearing.
As time goes by, I find myself gravitating towards clothing with a more forgiving waistline. I haven't bought any maternity clothes as of yet, but I'm sure that day is fast approaching. I'm hoping I can make my summer clothes last another month or so, and then just buy a bunch of fall and winter stuff once the seasons change. But we shall see. The bump has a mind of its own.
Another exciting development this last week is that I have begun to feel Baby O moving around! The first time I felt it was on Wednesday night when I was laying on the couch. At first I wasn't sure what it was, but over the past few days the movement has become more frequent and a little stronger, so I'm pretty confident it's him in there doing his thing. It's so much fun to feel him, and also nice to know he's doing okay in there. I can't wait for the kicks to become strong enough for Nate to feel too.
This morning when I woke up and was laying on my back, I noticed that the right side of my stomach was a lot larger then the left. My right side is where I feel almost all of the movements, so I guess that's where Baby O likes to hang out most of the time. At first I thought this was a little strange, so I Googled it and saw that a lot of other women have the same thing happen during pregnancy. Never in my life did I think I'd do an internet search on lopsided stomachs. First time for everything I guess :)
